Bummed-out marker doodles

Still in St. John's. Bought some new toys at the art store. Imagine that! a whole store dedicated to art supplies! Boy, these "cities" are wondrous places! Anyways, I picked up a bunch of pen nibs and some nice Letraset markers. Here's me screwing around with both. Although the doodles appear bummed-out, I'm actually quite excited about these new tools.

Bob Joy

Normally I'd be posting the latest Offal Funnies today, but I'm out of town at the moment, attending the Nickel Film Festival in St. John's. I spent the morning "auditing" an actors' workshop led by veteran actor Bob Joy.

The workshop was fascinating, even to a non-actor like myself. Bob seems to have endless energy and enthusiasm. Afterwards, I sketched this little caricature of him as he spent much of the morning: seated on the floor, gesticulating wildly and discussing his craft in almost spiritual terms.

P.S. I had to scan and colour this in MS Paint! Dedication to blogging much?!
