Classically animated version of one of Jim Woodring's Frank comics by a Japanese (I think) animator.

Inking with Illustrator

Decided I'd try digital inking today. I Used Flash first and it came out totally cappy. Then I tried Illustrator and got much better results. The brush tool is way more responsive and the lines are much easier to manipulate once they've been put down.
Great Illustrator inking tutorials here.

Brainbrows

Although I officially retired the Offal Funnies bunch, I still draw them and I still refine the designs. It's kinda like one of those couples that break up but still bang all the time.
I've decided that Dr. Grey should have eyebrows.

Falcor

I watched the Neverending Story the other night, and I must say, it doesn't hold up as well as some of the other fantasy epics of the era. It's flaky even for fantasy.
Also, I dunno if its because I'm a giant nerd, but I kept reading funny sexual meanings into everything. You have to at least agree that the "door" through which the pubescent hero reluctantly enters the empress's "chamber" is the most yonic piece of production design ever created. Its basically a picture of a vagina from a medical textbook.
Anyhoozers, here's my retarded off-model Falcor doodle.
p.s. Is this movie just for girls?

Dermot lip sync
A bit of rough lip sync animation starring Dermot from Offal Funnies. The line is from this comic, if you want a bit of context. Thanks to Sam Smith for the voice.

Joey

This is Joey Smallwood, the man who made Newfoundland a part of Canada and Newfoundland's first (and longest running) Premier.
As a creative-type Newfoundlander I'm supposed to hate this guy, but I'm too young and politically ignorant to understand why. All I see when I watch him on TV is a charming, literate Italian turtle with trendy glasses who's about a million times more fun to watch than any of today's politicians.
